In addition, it appears that the warnings now added to Lipitor remain insufficient to adequately provide users with information about the potential risk of diabetes, and individuals may be entitled to financial compensation as a result of Pfizer’s decision to place their desire for profits before consumer’s safety. If proper warnings had been provided, individuals may have had the opportunity to decide not to use Lipitor or they may have reduced their risk of developing diabetes by closely monitoring their blood glucose levels to see if the drug was affecting them.
